Trai Anfield

Trai Anfield is a natural history photographer, film maker and presenter working globally but firmly based here in the North East of England.  She began her working life as a countryside ranger before retraining as a meteorologist and being recruited by the BBC where she went on to forecast the weather on Look North, present BBC Radio 4’s The Living World and stand in for Sir David Attenborough narrating on the Blue Planet Live Tour.

Trai’s love of photography, conservation and travel forms the basis of all her work, which is internationally published, as are her magazine articles on wildlife and the environment.  She produces enchanting photography of wildlife in the natural habitat, and describes her style as instinctive, intimate, and unashamedly emotional.

Trai is Patron of three conservation and healthcare charities: Friends of Red Kites NE, ME North East and LifeSpan.  Her featured charity is Gorilla Doctors, to whom she donates 10% of the profits from sales of her prints.

If you are interested in joining Trai on a photographic safari, details of her itineraries are at www.enlightenedmedia.net/photosafaris
