About the workshop:

North Yorkshire is the perfect backdrop for creating beautiful landscape images - with the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and the Yorkshire Coast all within a short driving distance from our base in Northallerton.
On the day your workshop leader Mark will discuss the best location for shooting images after checking out the latest weather forecast.

This workshop is aimed at photographers of any level who wish to hone their landscape photography skills further from beginner to advanced.
We will discuss the fundamentals of the art as well as more advanced techniques such as using graduated filters. We will also discuss how to improve compositional skills. A basic knowledge of how apertures, shutter speeds and ISO work is all that is needed.

On this workshop, you will be encouraged to think a little deeper than the obvious and also consider both colour and black and white image options to suit your way of thinking, the location and the mood that the weather presents on the day.

Full joining instructions will be sent prior to the workshop but participants should plan to meet at the Joe Cornish Gallery for 10am.

What to bring:

Just bring the camera equipment that you would normally use.
Please bring a packed lunch and drink (take into account that you could be out until sunset depending on the weather). You should also have warm clothing, comfortable footwear, an umbrella and any medication necessary. Wellington boots would also be advisable just in case we end up near water.

The workshop group is limited to 4 to enable each participant to receive plenty of help and support.

Itinerary:

We will meet at the Joe Cornish Gallery in Northallerton, North Yorkshire for introductions over coffee/tea. We will then discuss technique and composition before heading out to a beautiful location to be decided on the day.
Transport will be provided throughout the day. Mark will be on hand all day to help you with your ideas and technique in order to make successful landscape images. The workshop will finish at around sunset.
