This is one of my favourite pictures. As usual there’s a story that goes with it. It was taken pre-dawn in July 2009. I had driven up to Bamburgh at some ungodly hour starting at about 2-30am. It didn’t look good, lightning was hissing into the sea and although my purpose was to catch the dawn, it didn’t look likely. At least the tide wasn’t right in. I set up my camera and took a few pictures to say at least I’d been there. Dawn came and went, it wasn’t any good at all. It was only when I got home that I realised how good the few images that I had taken were. Mist off the sea and a curious mist over the sea. I taught me a lesson, never give up.
