Lightroom excels at organisation, batch processing and intuitive editing. However, Photoshop allows un-rivalled image editing at a much deeper level and is the tool of choice for many professional photographers. Fortunately, Adobe has created an integrated solution allowing Lightroom users to use Photoshop as part of their workflow. Photoshop used to be prohibitively expensive, now the Adobe Photography monthly subscription provides cost effective access to both, so why not get your money's worth!

About the workshop:

Exertion Level: Easy

Adobe has created an integrated solution allowing Lightroom users to use Photoshop as part of their workflow. This workshop is an introduction to using Photoshop's power with Lightroom and looks at some of the reasons why Photoshop is still used today by professional photographers for retouching their images. By the end of the  workshop you will be confident in how and when to use Photoshop during your post processing workflow.

Adrian will aim to cover the following topics during the day, however the workshop is structured to meet the needs of individual participants and the group as they arise:

• The difference between Lightroom and Photoshop

• Configuring Lightroom settings for Photoshop.

Finding your way around Photoshop, the tools and layers.

The power of selections and local adjustments.

Using layers for non-destructive local editing.

Sharpening without halos and other sharpening tools.

• Fun with filters.

• Content aware tricks: crop fill and move.

Luminosity masking and blending

• Focus stacking

The group size is limited to 10 places to ensure that each participant receives plenty of help and support. You will need to bring your own computer loaded with your own copy of Lightroom and Photoshop. Each participant will receive their own detailed printed workbook so you will not have to write anything down, however it is a great place to take extra notes if desired. All the sample images will be provided on the day.

Tea & Coffee will be provided. Lunch is not included but the Gallery Café is on site or you can bring your own packed lunch.
