This is the perfect workshop for budding landscape photographers to advance their basic photography skills to the next level.
The group meets here at the gallery for refreshments and introductory briefing. During the practical session, you will be tutored in your camera’s basic functions and settings, and how to use them to the best advantage for the subject you are photographing. The course will be focused mainly on landscape photography, but many of the basic techniques are transferable to all types of photography.
Mark then takes participants out on location either to the North York Moors or Yorkshire Dales. Individual feedback is given throughout the day, providing you with the opportunity to translate what you learn directly into your images.
Tutor Mark Banks is an experienced and talented workshop leader, in addition to being a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society. He has been hosting One-Day workshops for the gallery and assisting Joe with our Residential Workshop programme for a few years now.
“Mark Banks is quite simply one of the best teachers of photography I have ever met. His secret is an apparently endless supply of patience, and an acute analytical approach to developing systematic problem-solving tactics in photography, which he makes effortless and fun to learn, whether in the field or in the editing suite. Mark’s artistry, empathy, kindness and charm mean he is always a joy to work with, or to be taught by.”
