Strictly speaking sandstone is rightly regarded as a sedimentary as opposed to metamorphic rock. However the title here refers to the bizarre turn of form that can occur, depending on how this scene is viewed. To me the textures and colours of the rock are simply beautiful and amazing for their own sake. What I could not predict is the strangeness and optical properties of the light where the water lies in the serpentine form of this micro-gorge.
