"Perched on the southern flanks of Roseberry Topping, and falling just within the North York Moors National Park, Aireyholme Farm was the boyhood home of legendary mariner, Captain James Cook. Since then, the growth of the conifers in the foreground, and rockfalls on Roseberry's western face caused by mining, have contributed to changes in this landscape. For the photographer, dramatic clouds, warm sunlight on the flock of sheep, and still water in the foreground have combined in a rare moment of perfect light."
