Performing in our 1st Floor Long Gallery, Elaine's latest album Desert Songs is influenced by her travels in south west America and Mexico.

North Yorkshire musician Elaine has toured both the UK and USA sharing stages with Joanna Newsom, Patty Griffin, Jesca Hoop, Dark Dark Dark, KT Tunstall, David Gray and Ryan Adams. Legendary DJ and presenter Bob Harris declared himself a fan after playing Elaine's music on his BBC Radio 2 show.

"With a beautifully conversational voice, an unerring sense of melody and a bittersweet and wistful reportoire, Elaine Palmer is undoubtedly a talent" MOJO

"The tight accompanying combo and light-touch production let the well-crafted songs do the work, resulting in an impressively textured album" R2 MAGAZINE

"A rich and powerful voice that ranges from a subtle whisper to a full-blown bluesy edge and writes incredible songs that stand-up to repeated listening" MAVERICK

* Exposure is a new programme of evening events that the Joe Cornish Galleries will be hosting featuring musical performances, comedy shows and talks all held in the intimate setting of our 1st floor Long Gallery.
