Dudley first came to prominence in 1967 during the Swinging London era, as co-founder of Pop Art collective ‘Binder, Edwards & Vaughan’ They produced vibrantly painted furniture, a notable piece being Paul McCartney’s "magic" piano. The piano now resides in his music room in London. According to McCartney writing the songs on the decorative piano “added to all the fun of it”. Dudley's painted murals also featured in the homes of Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, living in their houses for 6 months.
Moving forward, the Northern Ballet Company, based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, recently commissioned Dudley to produce a delightful series of photographs, reminiscent of Degas' paintings, featuring their principal dancers in rehearsals. That work is available here as limited edition prints, alongside a selection of Dudley's 'Route 66' iconic American images
