Iconic View of the famous Transporter Bridge, spanning the River Tees in Middlesbrough
Opened on December 17, 1911, the Tees Transporter Bridge is the furthest downstream bridge across the River Tees, connecting Middlesbrough on the south bank, to Port Clarence on the north bank. The bridge acquired additional fame following its role in the TV drama Auf Wiedersehen Pet, wherein it was allegedly disassembled and sent to Arizona in America!
