Tranquil panoramic image of the tiny harbour named Powder Hole, situated in the lagoon on the Teesmouth side of South Gare; an area of reclaimed land and breakwater constructed from thousands of tons of basic slag from blast furnaces, silt dredged from the river bed and huge blocks of concrete, one mile north of Redcar on the north east coast.
The remains of the Powder Jetty dates from the First World War or earlier.  The Container Terminal at Teesport can be seen in the distance on the far right hand side of the image.
